2.3. Many of our suppliers are independent, small-scale farmers or producers. As a result, all our products are subject to availability. While we strive to maintain a consistent supply, there may be instances when certain items are temporarily out of stock.

2.4. Our products are priced by unit. The weight price displayed serves as guidance only. Due to the inherent variability of our products, the minimum and maximum weight cannot always be guaranteed. Consequently, some products may not precisely meet the criteria stated on our website.

We want to emphasize that we will not accept liability for underweight or overweight products. However, our commitment remains to meet weight expectations and adhere to the minimum weight.

All product prices include any applicable VAT.

4. Purchasing Products

4.1. Adding Products to Your Basket:

To purchase products from us, you must add each item to your shopping basket, which we refer to as “My Basket” on our website. To place an order with us, you must be 18 years of age

4.2. Managing Your Basket, you have the flexibility to add, change, or remove any product from your shopping basket before confirming your order. Additionally, you can adjust product quantities as needed.

4.3. Minimum Spend Requirement, Orders placed with Northumberland Meats are subject to acceptance based on a minimum spend condition. We reserve the right to modify existing minimum spend requirements or introduce new ones.

4.4. Delivery Charges, Before requesting payment, we will clearly communicate the delivery cost. This charge, referred to as the “Delivery charge,” varies based on your chosen delivery option (as outlined in section 7.1).

Upon confirmation of your order, you will receive an email confirming the order, and then a subsequent email detailing for the designated Delivery Day.

4.5. Order Acceptance, An order is considered accepted only when our website displays an order confirmation message. Subsequently, you will receive an order confirmation email

from us, listing the products you’ve ordered, their prices, and delivery specifics. The contract for the sale of products to you is established upon our acceptance of your order. If you notice any errors in the order confirmation, please contact us promptly.

5. Payment

5.1 Valid Payment Method, You are required to provide Northumberland Meats with accurate details of a valid credit or debit card.

5.2 Security of Payment Information, We take utmost care to ensure the security of your payment information. Here are the key points:

Your card details are encrypted and securely stored within our systems. Processing of payments is handled by a fully PCI compliant third-party provider.

Neither Northumberland Meats staff nor any other third party has access to your card details.

We utilize your payment information for automatic payment processing related to subscription orders.

Additionally, we employ a Secure authentication technology to safeguard against fraud.

5.3 Order Suspension or Cancellation, We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your order, as well as deliveries to you, under the following circumstances:

If we are denied authorization from your card issuer for payment.

If a payment has been rejected by your bank.

In such cases, please promptly contact us to arrange payment. Once the payment is successfully processed, you can proceed with placing another order.

6. Orders

6.1 Adjusting Your Order, If you add extra items to your order or remove items from it, we will adjust the charges accordingly based on the increased or decreased difference.

6.2 Order Modifications, You have the flexibility to change your order at any time, provided you contact us 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date.

6.3 Modification and Cancellation Deadlines, All orders can be modified or cancelled before reaching the specified order deadlines.

6.4 Order Processing After Deadline, Once the order deadline has passed, your order will be processed within our system, and payment will be taken as per section 5.2.

6.5 Cancellation Policy, As a small business specializing in perishable goods, we regret that we cannot cancel orders or refund payments after the order deadline has passed. Any cancellations will apply to the subsequent order.

6.6 Order Reminder Email, To keep you informed, we will send you an order reminder email

48 hours before the order deadline.

6.7 Out of Stock Items. In cases where products are temporarily out of stock and unavailable for your selected delivery date, we may substitute the item and inform you via your order note.

Alternatively, we will contact you to arrange one of the following:

A refund, A suitable replacement, Delivery of the goods at a later date

6.8 Order Acceptance and Refusal, We accept orders at our discretion, and we reserve the right to refuse orders without explanation.

6.9 Scheduled Delivery, After your order deadlines have passed and your order has been processed, it is scheduled for delivery within our systems.

7. Deliveries

7.1 Delivery Process

We use a reliable courier service for deliveries. Here are the key points:

Your order will be delivered on the date specified in the order confirmation.

However, if an unforeseen event occurs beyond our control, we will promptly contact you with a revised estimated delivery date or time.

In cases where delivery is delayed by more than 36 hours or fails to reach you altogether, we will arrange either a full refund or replacement.

Events beyond our control include adverse weather conditions, strike actions, vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestion, supplier issues, courier capacity constraints, and more.

7.2 Timely Delivery. In most cases, your delivery will arrive from our butchery to the address you provided (as stated on your order confirmation) within 24 hours.

All orders are delivered via next-day delivery, with shipping occurring on the day before your chosen delivery date.

7.3 Receiving Your Delivery. It is your responsibility to make suitable arrangements to receive your delivery. If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, please contact us to

arrange a redelivery.

7.4 Liability and Lost Deliveries. Once someone has received the delivery, or once the courier has left it at your specified location, we cannot accept liability for any loss or further

delays.

If, for any reason, you do not receive your delivery, please notify us within 24 hours. We will take the necessary steps, including contacting our drivers or tracking the shipment, to ensure that replacement goods reach you promptly.

7.6 Accurate Delivery Details. The accuracy of the delivery details you provide during order placement is crucial. If you provide an incorrect address, postcode, or no delivery

instructions, please notify us immediately. We will make every effort to deliver your order to the revised address. However, if delivery to the revised address is not feasible, we cannot be held responsible for any resulting loss.

7.7 Refused Deliveries. If your delivery is refused or not accepted at the specified delivery address, we regret that we cannot offer a replacement.

7.8 Packaging and Freshness. All goods and products dispatched via courier are securely packaged in fully recyclable cardboard boxes packed with ice. This ensures that they remain frozen for up to 24 hours.

7.9 Delivery Locations. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver outside of England, Scotland, and Wales. Specific details regarding eligible addresses can be found on our Delivery Page.

7.10 Collection by you. If you have asked to collect the products from our premises, you can collect them from us at any time during our working hours of 11am-3pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays).

8.2 Refunds and Replacements, Refunds or product replacements are solely at our discretion. We assess each case individually to ensure fairness and customer satisfaction.
