Delivery and Packaging

We deliver all orders through DHL, ensuring your venison arrives fresh and on time. Orders are carefully packaged in eco-friendly, frozen packaging for maximum freshness.

Delivery Charges

We provide a tracked, UK-wide delivery service, ensuring your order arrives within 2 working days or on a nominated day of your choice, for £14.50.

A minimum order value of £40 applies.

All deliveries are managed by DHL, and recipients receive tracking information along with a one-hour delivery window on the day of arrival. If you’re not home at the time of delivery, DHL’s "leave safe" option allows your order to be securely left in a designated safe place.

Orders are expertly packaged in eco-friendly, frozen packaging to guarantee freshness upon arrival.

Delivery Areas & Exclusions

We currently deliver to England, Scotland, and Wales, with some exclusions. Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, or other remote islands.

Excluded Postcodes:

  • Scottish Highlands: FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40 (excluding PA38), PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50

  • Scottish Islands: HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA38, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3

  • Other Exclusions: AB31-38, AB41-54, AB55-56, IM, GY9, TR21-25, ZE

Our Woolcool Packaging

To ensure your order arrives in optimal condition, we use eco-friendly Woolcool packaging. This innovative, insulated packaging maintains the freshness and quality of your venison throughout transit.

Packed in our sustainable and biodegradable Woolcool packaging, your order is kept at the correct temperature until it reaches you. For best results, please place all meat products in a freezer as soon as you open your delivery.

Delivery

Once your order is completed, you'll receive a confirmation email. When your order is dispatched, DHL will send you tracking information and a one-hour delivery window for your convenience.

Our deliveries are handled Monday to Friday, ensuring your order reaches you quickly and safely. Packed in eco-friendly Woolcool packaging, which is scientifically proven to keep your meat fresh for up to 48 hours during transit.

Please note: Orders placed on Friday will not be shipped until Monday at the earliest. Our courier cannot guarantee Saturday delivery, and due to the perishable nature of our meat products, we are unable to take the risk of delayed shipments.

Delivery Notifications & Important Information

We encourage all customers to keep an eye on their delivery notifications via email or text message. You'll receive a notification when your parcel is out for delivery, followed by updates including a 1-hour delivery window, a 30-minute notice, and a "You’re Next" notification, allowing you to easily track your parcel's progress.

Important Points to Note Before Placing Your Order:

If you choose the option to ‘leave in a safe place’ or with a neighbour, neither we nor DHL can take responsibility for any loss of your package once it has been delivered.

If you need to change your delivery date, please notify us at least 2 working days prior to your original delivery date. Once the item is shipped, the delivery date cannot be changed. If delivery is not successful, the item will be destroyed.

While our couriers strive to meet all delivery times, unforeseen circumstances like adverse weather may cause delays. If this happens, we will do our best to help resolve the issue. Please contact us at office@northumberlandmeats.co.uk with any concerns.

Click and Collect Information

We offer a Click and Collect option for customers who prefer to pick up their order. Select this option during checkout and use the calendar to choose your preferred collection date.

Our collection times are between 12pm and 3pm on your chosen day. If you require a different collection time, please contact us at 01289 388202 prior to booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Please note, all payments must be made through our website—we cannot accept payment upon collection. Since we do not have a retail shop and are not open to the public, collections must be pre-arranged to ensure a team member is available to meet you.
