A bite about Wild Venison...

Meat from deer has been a vital part of the human diet since prehistoric times. The term venison (from the Latin venari, meaning “to hunt”) originally referred to meat from any wild animal.

Venison is a delicious and nutrient-dense alternative to beef, pork, and lamb. It’s high in lean protein, low in cholesterol and packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

Wild venison is an even better choice, as it is naturally free-range and contains no added substances often found in farmed meat. It is drug and medicine-free, with no steroids or antibiotics—completely natural.

A bite about our FSA Approval…

In 2022, we built our state-of-the-art butchery plant to meet the Food Standards Agency's standards. We also carry out regular microbiology testing to maintain our seal of approval.

We pride ourselves on offering full provenance for all our wild deer. You’ll know the estate, the date of the cull, and when each carcass was inspected and butchered. We’re one of the few venison suppliers that truly offer a field-to-fork experience.

When wild deer are culled, we store the carcasses at specific temperatures to enhance flavor and tenderness. They are hung for 7-10 days before being processed. After aging, the carcasses are skinned, graded, and inspected by a Food Standards Agency vet, who stamps them with the UK seal of approval once everything checks out.

After inspection, they’re butchered, vacuum-packed for freshness, and frozen, ensuring every box arrives still frozen. You can defrost them right away or store them in the freezer for later.
